Coffee packaging knowledge:
The packaging of roasted coffee beans (powder) is the most diverse form of coffee packaging, because the coffee beans will naturally produce carbon dioxide after roasting, direct packaging is easy to cause packaging damage, and long-term exposure to air will lead to aroma loss and oxidation of oil and aroma components in coffee, resulting in quality deterioration. Therefore, the packaging of coffee beans (powder) is particularly important. Roasted coffee beans are usually packaged in bags and cans.
Bags packaging are generally divided into: non-airtight packaging, vacuum packaging, one-way valve packaging, pressure packaging.
Packing of one-way valve:
A one-way valve on the bag allows the carbon dioxide to escape but keeps out the outside gas, ensuring that the beans don't oxidize but don't stop the aroma from escaping. The packaging can be stored for up to 6 months. Some coffees are packaged with air vents -- holes in the bag without a check valve -- so that once the carbon dioxide has been drained, outside air can enter the bag and oxidize, thus reducing storage time.
